Benjamin E. Ujcich

I will be joining the Department of Computer Science at Georgetown University as a tenure-track Assistant Professor starting in the 2020-21 academic year. Please feel free to get in touch!

I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). My research broadly focuses on secure systems and network design. In particular, I have focused on data provenance and vulnerability detection techniques to secure software-defined networking (SDN) architectures. I am also interested in how legal and regulatory policy contexts affect secure systems and network design with emphases on data protection and accountability.

I am a Graduate Research Assistant in the Performability Engineering Research Group (PERFORM), and I am co-advised by William H. Sanders and Adam Bates. I was a recipient of the UIUC College of Engineering's Carver Fellowship.
